We’re FINALLY staring to get some rain in California. It’s not much but at this point we’ll take what we can get.
And with that rain comes overcast and when there’s cloudy gloomy skies I wanna snuggle-in.
I feel like since rain seems to bring the terrible driver out in everyone, it is for the safety of our children to cancel work, school… everything (except pizza delivery) whenever the skies turn grey and declare the day a Snuggle-In. Kind of like an inservice but with more Netflix and blankets.
Since Snuggle-Ins aren’t a thing… yet… I did have to go to work today. Which means my body was forced to exit my sweat pants and enter actual clothes. And because I’m a glass half-full kinda gal, I decided to make the best of my having to get dressed predicament and celebrate the gloomy weather with boots!
Well booties actually. Booties are still considered boots, right? As is with most trends it took me a while to get on board with the bootie hype. To be honest, I actually hated this one more than most and I still dislike the majority of booties I’ve seen. But this particular pair of Kork-Ease booties can be credited 100% for softening my opinion of the trend.
A woman I worked with when I first moved to Oakland almost two years ago had these exact boots and I fell in love. After stalking her feet for a month or two I finally broke down and asked about the boots. By the time I asked her fall styles were on their way out so I had to do some serious web-searching to find these. I think I actually bought the last pair available on the world-wide web that season and had to buy a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear, but everything happens for a reason because turns out these boots run small. Huzzah!
In any event, fall is upon us, and there are plenty of these “Kork-Ease Michelle Booties” around for your purchasing pleasure. There are actually several similar styles in various colors now too… I’m really digging this Castaneda pair in grey or even black!
Alright I’ve really rambled here so I’m going to give y’all back your Thursday afternoon now.
